I have the best memories of sitting in class, laughing and laughing. I am so sorry the world was not supportive of such a gentle, kind and joyous spirit.
Jody and I were friends through El Roble and Claremont High. Fun to hang out with. He was a natural born artist. We ran into each other in a book store in Berkeley, CA in the spring of 1967. We shared a meal and conversation. Jody is missed by all those who knew him.
If there's one silver lining to the dark cloud of a friend who died too young a long time ago it's that I have confirmation that Griff, Steve and Dave B. are still alive. Keep on truckin' guys.
Thanks for your comments old buddies. Yep, still trucking up here in Mendocino Co. I pretty much lost contact with Claremont friends after high school. You expressed the very thoughts I've held all these years.
Jody was such an artistic talent...I was certain he would become a great cartoonist one day. He had a great sense of humor. One of a a few people I could relate with in high school.
So sorry to hear how Jody lost his life many years ago, just out of High School. He was so nice and friendly, and a talented person. Jody was also a handsome kid, and a fun person to be around. His future looked bright, I know his family had a heartfelt loss that lingers on. My thoughts and prayers to his friends and family. Rest in peace Jody, you have been missed.
Jody's art was so very special. He had the gift of seeing and then putting on paper or sculpture, anything, expressively and beautifully. What a talent, I was in ah of his gift.
We really lost a huge talent. We had memory together, Jody and I went to Santa Monica to see Bob Dylan one night. I often think of think of Jody in class and that night.

I know what it's like to have a serious problem. I am blessed to have overcome it. His pain cannot be understated. So sad.
