Dear Classmates and friends,

It is with deep sadness that I have to tell you that Mickey passed away this morning after her battle with cancer, which was then complicated by a stroke. She was able to leave the hospital yesterday and was happy to be home and was ready to continue her battle. But last night she had complications and returned to the hospital. God decided it was time for Mickey to join him in heaven around 6:30 this morning. She is now reunited with her family and friends that went to heaven before her. The stars will be a little brighter tonight in honor of Mickey and her friend Vicki Daniels Albelo who went before her. They are now all reunited.

Please keep her children in your thoughts and prayers. When I recieve information about her Funeral Services pending, I will provide the information to those who are interested.

Kind thoughts and best wishes to all, Cathy Cordova

My condolences to Mickey's family and friends, and especially to her siuster, Valarie.  I was not aware of Mickey's battle with cancer, nor her medical complications.  It was a joy to meet her once again, after all the years, at the CHS Alumni Reunion football game.  I remember Mickey as a fiesty young girl out to take on the world.  She would challenge anyone or anything in her path.  May she rest in peace in God's loving arms.  Michael "62".

To the friends and family of Michele 'Mickey' Butcher,

My heart goes out to all who knew and loved her, I saw her at a "mini" reunion at Cathy Cordova's 2 years ago and we talked over old times about the fact she and her sister Valerie lived across the street from my brother " Duke" and me on Cedar Crest, we had alot of fun and it was great to see her and everybody else again, I'm sorry to hear of her death but know she is being well taken care of in heaven by our Lord. She will be missed by all of us who knew and loved her.

Till we meet again Mickey,

Regan Tracy Moore
