Dick was admitted to the hospital the beginning of February with pneumonia. His pneumonia transformed into a fungal infection that quickly spread throughout his body.  Within a 28 day period he went from feeling kind-of-sick to being roughly 99% incoherent and 100% blind. His beloved son and daughter made the decision to get hospice involved.  He was moved to a hospice facility where he stayed for about a week before passing away.
