Diana Denise Dorman (Manny) - Class Of 1992

Feb 3, 1974 - May 10, 2021

Diana Denise Manny died May 10 at the age of 47.

Diana was born in San Gabriel on February 3, 1974. She was a lively and bright child who loved to sing, dance and had a beautiful imagination.

A longtime Claremont resident, she attended Vista Del Valle Elementary, El Roble Intermediate School and graduated from Claremont High School in 1992.

She enjoyed the performing arts and was an active member of Claremont Chamber singers, the Claremont United Church of Christ choir, and Arise.

After graduating high school she went on to attend San Francisco State University, where she studied communications. She worked for the Southern California Gas Company for more than 20 years, and was passionate about customer service and spent time advocating for her colleagues as a union representative.

She married her husband Danin in 2006 and loved nothing more than being a devoted wife and mother to her three children.

Her youngest child was born with a rare neuromuscular disorder, Myotubular Myopathy (MTM),  and she became an active member in the community. She poured her heart and soul into research, charity and educating others on the disorder. She was passionate about their cause and made countless connections and friendships through her work within the MTM community.

She had a great love for music, art, a strong Christian faith and truly enjoyed helping others. She was devoted to her family and friends and loved them so deeply.

"Her love and heart was larger than life,” her family shared.

She is survived by her parents, Bill and Cheré Dorman; husband, Danin Manny; daughter and son in law, Mikaela and Frankie Eteuati, daughter Taylor Manny, and son Luke Manny; siblings Brian Dorman, Valerie Nelson and Lisa Dorman; and 10 nieces and nephews.

Services will be held at 2 p.m. Sunday, June 27 at Claremont United Church of Christ, 233 Harrison Ave.
