Desa Christine Setlich December 31, 1970, our loving Desa returned home to our Lord on October 11, 2014 at the tender age of 43. Born in Glendale CA, and resident in Laguna Hills for the past 13 years.   

Desa was proceeded in death by father Peter J. Setlich and Liberia J. Setlich, and is survived by her pride and joy, her only daughter, Petra Ostashay, and her siblings Greg (Lynn) Setlich, Eric (Laurette) Setlich, Stacey (Dean) Dragoyevich, 8 nieces and nephews and 1 great niece. 

Energetic, loving, spiritual, and caring; it is difficult to write about a magnificent life in so few words. Desa was very courageous during her short battle, and always remained selfless. Desa will forever be remembered as a wonderful daughter, mother, sister, aunt, cousin and friend. 

Vigil and Rosary will be on Thursday, October 23, 2014 at 7:00pm O'Connor Mortuary, 25301 Alicia Pkwy, Laguna Hills, CA. Mass of Christian Burial will be at St. Kilian, 26872 Estanciero Drive, Mission Viejo, CA on October 25, 2014 at 11:00am with interment to follow at Lake Forest Lawn Cemetery. Former Chino resident, Desa Christine Setlich, 41, died Oct. 11, 2014, in Laguna Hills after a year-long battle with colon cancer. 

She was born Dec. 31, 1970, in Glendale. She was a production manager for Burton Inc. She had lived in Chino, Claremont, and for the last 15 years in Laguna Hills. 

She is survived by her daughter, Petra Ostashay of Laguna Hills; brothers, Greg Setlich of Chino, Eric Setlich of Aliso Viejo; sister, Stacey Dragoyovich of Laguna Hills. 

She was preceded in death by her parents, Peter J. and Liberia J. Setlich, in 1998 and 2014, respectively. 

Rosary will be held at 7 p.m. Thursday, Oct. 23, 2014, at O'Conner Mortuary, 12531 Alicia Parkway, Laguna Hills. Funeral will be held at 11 a.m. 

Saturday, Oct. 25, at St. Kilian Catholic Church, 26872 Estanciero Drive, Mission Viejo. 

The family suggests memorial donations to Kure It Foundation.
