Paul William Young passed into Eternal Life in the afternoon of October 16, 2004 at his home in Claremont after suffering several months of illness. He was born at PVHMC to Chester W. and Geraldine Johns Young on December 8, 1966.
He was the last of five children and attended schools in Claremont, graduating from high school in 1985. He was very active in skateboarding and bicycle racing and won many trophies in both activities. In skateboarding, he competed with many professional skateboarders. He attended college at BYU Hawaii where he met and married Jenifer Bird. He has one child, Keanu who lives with his mother in Hawaii.
He returned to California and worked for NASDAQ and other companies in the greater Los Angeles area. His last position was as court representative for doctors in contested claims against insurance companies in workmans compensation claims. He was an ardent motorcyclist and rode his cycle work in Chatsworth.
He is mourned by his father and three brothers, Roger (CHS 1967) of Yorba Linda, Kent (CHS '74) and Jared (CHS '78) both of Las Vegas, and their families. He was preceded in death by his sister, Suzette (CHS 1964), and their mother.
Services will be held at the Todd Memorial Chapel, on Sunday, October 24, 2004 at 2 p.m. Interment will be at the Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont. Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona, is in charge of arrangements.
