Craig Robert Ackerman, 48, of Claremont passed away peacefully at San Antonio Community Hospital, Upland, CA. on Tuesday Oct. 27th with family and friends by his bedside. 

Craig was born August 30, 1961 in Lynwood, CA. and raised in Claremont, CA. Where he excelled in Little League, Pony League, Colt League, American Legion Baseball. He graduated from Claremont High School in 1979, where he was on the football, baseball teams and wrestling teams. He graduated from Citrus College and was an outstanding relief pitcher for two years. He graduated from Arizona Automotive Institute in Glendale, Arizona with an award for finishing in the top 10 out of 935 students, along with perfect attendance for the school year. 

Craig owned and operated his own company Perfect Pour, Inc. A beverage installing and cleaning equipment company. He worked in Phoenix, AZ., Las Vegas, NV., San Franscisco, CA. and Los Angeles, CA., for more than 25 years. He enjoyed family trip s to Lake Tahoe, boating with his nephews and niece. The John Hernandez family, and enjoying his loving black lab "Cinders" who never left his side during his illness. Craig could fix and repair anything, always giving his dad his expert opinion. 

Craig was preceded in death by his mother Phyllis. Craig is survived by his father Allen, brother Dennis, sister Terry (Bud) Smith, niece Stephanie (Scott) Strachan, nephews Dominic and Brett Ackerman and their mother Nina Hughes, uncles Harold and aunt Mary Ann Bosacki, Bob and Lenore Carr, numerous cousins and friends. Craig was loved by many special friends for his love of adventure and love of life that he shared with including John and Martha Hernandez and family, Dorothy DeLaney and Family, Linda Eyrich and Family, Matt Jahant, Carolyn O'Brien, and many wonderful caring neighbors of Maryhurst Dr. who helped and assisted him in the time of need during his illness over the past few months. All the angels are not in Heaven that was proven over and over. 

Family requests memorial donations be made to the ICU Unit at San Antonio Community Hospital, 999 San Bernardino Road, Upland, CA. 91786. The doctors and nurses gave Craig their very best of care. 

A celebration of his life will be held at Todd's Memorial Chapel in Claremont on Saturday, Nov. 7 at 10AM. Interment to follow at Forest Lawn Memorial Park, Covina Hills. His cousin Pastor Luter Martell will officiate the service. Todd Memorial Chapel, Claremont is handling the arrangements.
