Jul 19, 1950 - Jun 13, 2026 

It is with profound sadness that we announce that Ann Morrow Roberts, 75, passed away on June 13, 2026, in Santa Rosa, California surrounded by her brothers and sister in law. Ann was born July 19th, 1950, at Mercy Hospital, Parsons, Kansas, to Herbert Roberts and Ruth Morrow Roberts. Ann will be remembered for her deep love of her family including two brothers, a sister, two sisters in law, a brother in law, 3 nieces, 5 nephews and cousin Joyce Ehli and her family. 

Ann was born in Kansas but spent most of her childhood in Claremont, California, with her older brother Griff, and younger siblings Jane and Casey. She attended Vista Del Valley Elementary School, Condit Elementary School, El Roble Junior High (in its first years as a new school) and graduated from Claremont High School in 1968 where she developed her love of art in all forms. During her childhood, Ann was a member of the Blue Birds and Camp Fire Girls, loved listening to rock and roll music, especially the Beatles, and made spending money by baby sitting for neighborhood children of which there were many in the early 1960s. 

Ann attended Citrus Junior College and then transferred to the California College of Arts and Crafts (now the California College of the Arts) in Oakland, California and graduated in 1973. A life long artist, Ann pursued her painting career while at CCAC and spent a semester in Michoacan, Mexico, painting landscapes and still-life in broad, vibrant colors reflective of the region. 

In later years, Ann enjoyed water color painting various aspects of Calistoga and the Napa Valley which was her home for more than 50 years. She greatly enjoyed helping local young people over the years learn to sketch and paint. Ann enjoyed the beauty of Calistoga and the surrounding area. 

Some of her happiest times were when she was active in a local jazzercise gym and rode on its 4th of July float in the Calistoga parade. Her family will remember her always for her love of cats, kindness, generosity, friendly nature and photographic memory of events long past. In her last days, without any prompting she remembered the colors of the shirt and pants her brother Griff was married in 54 years earlier and that sister in law Mary made her own dress. Such is the mind and memory of an artist!

Ann's family would like to thank Dave Frame and Mary Lyons for their care and friendship for Ann for many years. We will miss so many things about her, like retelling childhood stories with her "steel trap" memory and love for family and friends. 

A private family memorial for Ann will be held at a later date and donations in her memory maybe made to the UpValley Family Center, 1500 Cedar Street, Calistoga, CA, 94515,
