Geoffrey Bell DDS - OBITUARY
Well, folks, here we are–me, writing my own obituary. I know, it’s a little unusual, but I’ve never been one to follow tradition, and if you’ve ever been a patient of mine or friend of mine, you probably already know that. This isn’t your standard obituary about my “accomplishments,” because honestly, who cares? Instead, this is my chance to say thank you. Thank you to all of you who made my life in Carlsbad so full of joy, laughter, and meaning.
Over the years, this community has given so much to me, my family, and our dental office, and I am forever thankful. I’ve spent over six decades here with my family, and I have cherished every moment. Sure, the ocean, the lagoons, the hills, and the weather are second to none, but what makes Carlsbad magical is you. Carlsbad has always been more than just a town to me–it’s been a family. From the teachers who shaped our kids’ futures, to the coaches who taught them about teamwork and competitive spirit, to the volunteers who made sure our community was always thriving. I am beyond grateful to have been a part of it all. You all helped raise my kids and grandkids – heck, we all helped raise each other’s kids! We cheered at games, celebrated successes, and survived tough times together. And don’t worry, I’ll be around in spirit, probably cracking jokes with the next generation.
Carlsbad–you’ve been my home, my heart, and my family. I’ve been lucky enough to watch this place grow and thrive, and I hope, in some small way, I was able to contribute to that. Because Carlsbad isn’t just where I lived, it’s where my heart is and will always be.
Thank you for everything. Keep laughing, supporting one another, and making the world a better place–because you always have. And remember, if you ever need a good laugh or a reminder not to take life too seriously, just think of me! I’ll be laughing with you. Pura vida!
With love, laughter, and eternal gratitude,
Geoff
