Barbara Jean (Birks) Arteaga, born March 12, 1957, passed away March 23, 2013 in Sacramento. 

She leaves a daughter, Lieutenant Violet (Arteaga) Aird of McMinnville, OR, a son, Dimas Arteaga of Sacramento, and her parents, Major & Mrs. Dan Birks of Elk Grove, CA. Barbara is also survived by two sisters, four brothers, 20 nieces and nephews and 20 grand nieces and nephews. 

During her lifetime she was compassionate and caring for the homeless community.

Services will be held March 30th at 1:30 pm, The Salvation Army, 2550 Alhambra Blvd., Sacramento, CA.
