Shelley Elizabeth O'Neill, age 61, formerly of Claremont, California, passed away Friday, December 17, 2021, at the Wayne T. Patrick Hospice House in Rock Hill, South Carolina.

Born in Pomona, California, Shelley was the second daughter of Mildred "Milly" Joann Bohanon O'Neill Fox and the late William Bernardo O'Neill. She was a 1978 graduate of Claremont High School and received her Liberal Arts Degree from California State University at Fullerton. Shelley was a horse trainer, sales representative, and teacher. She enjoyed spending time with her family and tending her animals, especially her beloved horses.

Shelley is survived by her mother, Milly Fox of Leesburg, Virginia; her husband of 15 years, Kenneth Rockwell Hewett of Lancaster; four sisters, Tracey O'Neill Springman (Michael) of Ashburn, Virginia, Kathleen O'Neill Riehl (Rick) of Summerville, South Carolina, Shannon O'Neill Burke (Dave) of Vancouver, Washington, and Erin O'Neill of North Hollywood, California; her stepbrother, Chris Fox of Palos Verdes, California and her cousin Diane Passaquindici (Allen) of Huntington Beach, California; nieces and nephews, Trevor Michael Springman, Haley Kathleen Springman, Katelyn Diane Springman, Ryan Oliver Riehl, Shane Owen Riehl, Taylor Lauren Burke and Conor James Burke.

A celebration of life will be held on Saturday, April 30, 2022, at Pleasant Hill Methodist Church, 238 Fort Mill Hwy, Indian Land, SC. 29707. (Details to be provided)
