Jonathan Marcellus Campbell died of complications from diabetes on Monday, February 13, 2012, at his home in Canyon Lake, California. He was 50.

Jonathan was born to Bennett M. and Cynthia Rice Campbell, formerly of Waynesboro, on May 12, 1961, in Pearisburg, Virginia. He was preceded in death by his mother, Cynthia Rice Campbell and his paternal grandparents, Berkley M. and Hallie Falls Campbell of Waynesboro.

He graduated from Claremont High School, Class of 1979. He studied International business at Cal Poly Pomona after which he joined the family business, Space Flex International Inc. as Vice President where he managed Off-shore procurement, custom engineered manufacturing and consulting. He also owned and managed JMC International Enterprise. His recent move to Canyon Lake was for easy access to his favorite activity. Jonathan loved fishing and camping in the High Sierra Mountains. He was an accomplished deep-sea fisherman.

He is survived by his two cherished daughters, Kady and Hayley Campbell of Laguna Hills; his Father Bennett M. Campbell of Riverside; a brother, Christopher and wife, Susie, of Riverside; a sister, Cecily and husband, Mike Gonzales, of Claremont; an uncle, Chester Campbell of Waynesboro. A celebration of life ceremony was held 1 p.m. Sunday, March 4, 2012, at the Container Garden at Rancho Santa Ana Botanic Garden. A reception followed.
