Bonnie L. Gebhardt - Class Of 1967

Bonnie L. Gebhardt

Mar 29, 1949 - Nov 20, 2016 


Bonnie passed away peacefully at home on November 20, 2016. She was born in Passaic, New Jersey to parents John and Maryalice Gebhardt. 

While spending most of her youth in Southern California, Bonnie graduated from Claremont High School in Claremont CA and received a master's degree in Physical Education from Cal Poly, Pomona. Also furthering her education with a Master's degree from SDSU (Reading Specialist). Bonnie taught at El Cajon Valley High School for 28 years.While at EL Cajon Valley she taught Physical Education coached Tennis, Gymnastics and Softball. After moving into the English Department she eventually became the department chairperson until she retired. 

She loved to travel, show and train dogs, work with 4H dog projects and was the president of the San Diego Floral Association. 

Bonnie was preceded in death by her mother Maryalice. She is survived by her father Jack, his wife Norma, brother John (Linda), nephew Jay, niece Samantha and life partner of 39 years and wife Patricia Forsberg. 

She will be missed by so many.

Bonnie will be laid to rest in the Pacific Ocean.

cryingI am so sorry to hear this news. I was so looking forward to seeing my old tennis partner at the big 50th reunion next year. RIP dear Bonnie.

I am very sorry to hear of Bonnie's passing.  We were neighbors and friends at CHS.  She was a great athlete, and had a kind heart always...

Janie Brown (Glidden) (1967)

Condolenses to Bonnie's Family and Friends.  She was such a Happy Spirit...and I can still remember her laugh!  So sorry not to be able to visit with her 'just one more time'.  I reading her life's work...it is what one would know about her > always generous, loving, an 'doing good'..... Aloha to the Moana ~ Gentle Woman :-)

Beth Benjamin (1967)

She still has the same beautiful smile. I remember volleyball, at which I was wretched and she was good. And I remember going with Bonnie and her family to somewhere near Apple Valley where I saw the first apple I ever saw growing. Little did I know that apples would figure big in my future life. Lovely memories of this fine woman.

Lynette Ross (1967)

I'm so sorry to hear about Bonnie. Too young, too young. I remember such good times in GAA. She was such a good athlete and so very kind and gracious. Sending prayers and Love and Light to her family.  Lynette Ross

Sondra Lane (Bock) (1967)

Sorry to hear about Bonnie's passing. I was in sports with Bonnie she was a great athlete.

I remember her as always pleasant and kind. Condolences to her family and friends.

Her life was certainly cut short! Rest in Peace Bonnie.
