We copied the below from a tribute that had been posted online.  EK, thank you for your loving insight.

Dear Chuck,

As the sorrow over the loss of you in my life will someday slowly pass, you leave me with beautiful treasured memories.

You touched the lives of so many. Your humor and wit were delightful, charming, and down right funny. You made me smile from inside to out. You were always such a prankster.

You didn’t like the rain or beans or peas or fish, or when someone said you looked like the Wizard from Oz. You didn't like the snow.
You liked Hawaiian shirts, holey Levis, In and Out t-shirts and moccasins. You liked your back tickled.

You so loved each and every one of your children dearly.

You were compassionate, caring, sensitive, and generous. I will cherish every “trinket” you have given me.

You had such a passion for politics, listening to Rush and Bob and Ken, playing poker, music, dancing, history, watching comedies, cartoons, and movies over and over again. We must have seen What About Bob and Shrek 2 a hundred times and each time was like watching it for the first time because it was with you.

I will miss the way you playfully teased me around the house, the many phone calls throughout the day to just say Hi.
I will miss our mornings and our nights.
I will miss our long quiet walks on the beach searching for sand dollars.
I will miss my kisses good morning, goodbye, hello, goodnight, and our last kiss.
I will miss hearing dear, sweetheart, and princess.

To feel your love, to be a part of your life has been a blessing to me. I could not ask for more. I will cherish my time with you forever.

…This is my beloved, and this is my friend… Song of Solomon 5:16

I love you so, from the moon and back, miss you.
