Ron served in the Naval reserves, was a member of Claremont Masonic Lodge, and a member of First Presbyterian Church of Upland.

Ron will be missed dearly by his family and friends. He left a very positive impression on all who knew him. His cheerful disposition and good work ethic made him popular with his customers. He loved to hear and tell a joke. He loved Claremont, growing up knowing every classmate. He loved all sports, playing football and baseball at Claremont High School. He coached his sons in Pony League baseball, going on to become League president. In later years he spent considerable time camping at the beach with his family. In retirement he found time for gardening and loved his flowers.

His family wishes to gratefully thank the V.N.A. Hospice and their caregivers for the wonderful service they provided his last few years.

A memorial service will be held at 11:00 a.m., Saturday, September 8, at the Upland Presbyterian Church.
