Diane and I were best friends during my short two years at Claremont High. She was a wild child and together we had fun and made our last year of high school memorable. She played guitar and became a "flower child" in more ways than one. She ended up marrying the boy I was dating before I left for college. She had a daughter and moved to Oregon. She died a couple of years ago from one of the flu epidemics. From her daughter's Facebook rememberances Diane (Dee Dee) maintained her free spirit and loving nature.
