As big as CHS is/was, I didn't have a common path through school with Jim, so we didn't know each other.  And yet I certainly remember his face and can't help but feel for the loss of another classmate.  I appreciate his brother Lee reporting his death.  Its especially poignant to know he was readying a home to retire to, and now his life has been cut too short to reap the pleasure of enjoying it.

Such reports give us all pause, and remind us of our own mortality.  I will take this moment as an opportunity to renew relationships with old friends and family that may be taken for granted.

RIP Jim.

I probably knew you back then.  If you played music perhaps you played with our HS stage band in which case we played together.

Sad that you died so young but it sounds like you had a fulfilling life.  That is often as good as it gets for any of us.

Best to your surviving family.

Rawl

Graduated with the Class of 1971 (as a junior).

I graduated in 1970 and did not know Jim personally.  However who could forget that face and smile? I do remember Jim in that regard.  It's sounds as though his was a life well lived.  Peace to all family and friends who loved him.
