Milton Kerr Campbell, age 73, passed away Wednesday, January 14,2004, in Santa Rosa, after a long illness. 

Milton was born in Oakland in 1930, spent his first six years in El Rosario, Sinaloa, Mexico where his father was an engineer and manager of El Tajo gold and silver mine. When his father died in a devastating hurricane in 1936 the family moved to Claremont. He graduated from Claremont High School in 1948. Milton then attended Oregon State College in Corvallis and received a degree in Forestry Science. 
 
A career officer in the U.S. Army for the next twenty years Milton served his country in Japan, Italy and two tours of duty in Vietnam before his retirement as a Lieutenant Colonel. 
 
Milton was a longtime resident of Marin County and lived in Sonoma County the pass thirteen years. He was a loving husband for thirty-one years to Ernestine Campbell of Santa Rosa, a beloved father to Kevin Campbell of Hil lsboro, OR; James Hollomon of Truckee, Michael Hollomon of CA, Milinda Michols of Redwood Valley and Lisa Robbins of Petaluma. Brother of Janet Wolver of Claremont, he is also survived by many grandchildren and his two nieces, Barbara Wolver of N.Y.C. and Susan Wolver of Incline Village, Nevada.   Cherished by his family and friends, Milton will be deeply missed.
