Melinda Ann Faull (DeBell) - Class Of 1974 VIEW PROFILE

Melinda Ann Faull (DeBell)

June 26, 1956 - April 4, 2014

Melinda Ann DeBell passed away on April 4, 2014, with her family by her side, following complications from brain surgery.

Melinda was raised in Claremont, CA and graduated from Claremont High School in 1974.

After marrying her husband, Tim DeBell, they moved to San Diego where she worked as a dental assistant. Melinda lived with her family in Ramona for 24 years. She was an energetic volunteer, serving as a popular Girl Scout and Boy Scout leader and quite active in the Ramona Schools sports programs.

Melinda never met a stranger. Her gentle ways and honest interest in whoever she met made all who knew her feel like a special friend. She was quite funny, always with a gentle dry wit and her signature comments on life will be remembered with much love and laughter. She loved her family, boating and social gatherings. She was a loving wife, mother, sister, aunt and friend.

Melinda is preceded in death by her mother, Marie Nelson, and her father, Mike Faull. She is survived by her husband of 36 years, Tim; her children, Erica, Vanessa and Steven (Kori) DeBell; and granddaughter, Gwenyth. She is also survived by her siblings, Martin Faull, Marlene Bakken, Monica Foos and Matt Faull; as well as many nieces and nephews.

A service will be held on April 25, 2014, at 11 am at St. Mary's Star of the Sea in Oceanside.

Held the Faull and DeBell families in prayer yesterday.  Melinda was an extraordinarily kind person.  It was a privilege and a pleasure to have her as a friend at Sumner Elementary School.  I was really moved, when we re-connected at one of the class reunions, that she took the time to call and devolop new friendship after all those years!  She clearly adored her husband and was so proud of her children.  I am deeply saddened by her passing and will always hold her smile dear.
