Patrick Lloyd Wicksted, age 44, of Claremont, died September 28, 2005 at Pomona Valley Medical Center.
He graduated from Claremont High in 1979 and from Cal State University San Diego in 1983 with a degree in psychology. He worked for 20 years in the mental health field in San Diego, using his Christian principles to help those less fortunate than himself. Patrick ran high hurdles in high school, played soccer in AYSO, and was involved in the Boy Scouts. He was a dedicated sports fan and loved the outdoors, especially the beach.
He struggled courageously with epilepsy most of his life and finally succumbed to it. Patrick is survived by his parents, Larry and Marilyn Wicksted of Claremont; a sister, Sandra Wicksted of Claremont; a brother, Mark Wicksted of San Bernardino; a sister-in-law, Alicia Wicksted; and a niece, Leslie Wicksted. Patrick will be tremendously missed by all who loved him.
Graveside service on Monday, October 3, 2005 at 10 a.m., Oak Park Cemetery, Claremont. Todd Memorial Chapel of Pomona is in charge of arrangements.
