Betty Marie Kunkle (Towne & Bradley)

Jun 11, 1932 - Jan 20, 2021

Betty Marie Bradley Towne (nee Kunkle), 88, of Rancho Cucamonga, passed away peacefully at home, surrounded by family, on January 20, 2021. She was born at San Antonio Hospital in the City of Upland, grew up in the City of Claremont and married Thomas Bradley, before moving to Pomona. In 1988, she married the 2nd love of her life, Rolland Towne, and moved to Rancho Cucamonga where she lived the remainder of her life.

Betty was known for her funny, witty personality and enjoyed all things in fashion, playing Bunko since 1969, singing, collecting antiques and spending time in her Lake Arrowhead cabin. In her younger years, she was a song leader at Claremont High School, graduated from Chaffey College and went on to become an aspiring model. She was always proud of having one of the first hip hugger, bell bottomed pants designed to her body by the famous Fashion Designer, Mr. Blackwell.

She was a dedicated wife, mother, grandmother and great grandmother and will be sorely missed by all. Betty is survived by her daughter, Lynne Weigand (Mark Silva) of Rancho Cucamonga, son Tom Bradley of Pomona, daughter Robyn Dick (Dave Dick) of Temecula, and Richard Towne of Ontario; 11 grandchildren, 8 great grandchildren, and her cherished dog, Charlie.

Betty was preceded in death by her first husband, Thomas Bradley and husband, Rolland Towne. Due to current COVID-19 restrictions, memorial services will be announced at a later date. Betty's graveside service will be reserved for family at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont, California.
