Beloved husband, father, grandfather, local musician
It is with profound sadness that we are announcing the passing of Kenny Brage. Kenny was born in Huntington Park, California to Oscar Kennth and Eva Lillie Brage. He died peacefully at his home in Lake Arrowhead surrounded by his family.
Kenny grew up in Claremont. He attended Vista Del Valle Elementary School and El Roble Middle School and was a 1966 graduate of Claremont High School. Kenny loved music. He played locally with the Flys, the Econo Band and The Go-Cart-Rides, at Walters, the Black Watch Pub and Memorial Park.
In 1997 Kenny and his family moved to Lake Arrowhead, where he spent many happy days with his family boating and pulling his grandchildren around the lake on skis. Kenny was a devoted father and grandfather. He never missed a chance to watch a performance, sporting event or hang out with his family. He also loved traveling and camping, and with his wife and family traveled most of the 50 states from Alaska to Florida.
Kenny is survived by his wife, Darlene, and his three children Amee, Melinda, and Michael; six granddaughters: Maddelleine, Winter, Martina, Valkyrie, Violet, and McKenna and two great grandsons, Anthony and Karson. Kenny was preceded in death by his sister and her husband, Joan and Jack Kean, and his granddaughter, Katarina Storm Bunce.
We will miss Kenny’s quirky sense of humor that kept us laughing, his gentle kindness that warmed our hearts and his quiet devotion. Kenny was loved and cherished. His passing has left us with an enormous hole in our hearts.
A celebration of life is planned for Kenny on May 4, 2025 at Church of the Woods, 1410 Calgary Dr., Lake Arrowhead, Ca at 1:30 pm.
