Apr 15, 1933 - Jul 18, 2025

Barbara Wade, 92 of Anaheim Hills, CA, passed away peacefully in her home, surrounded by loved ones on July 18, 2025. Barbara was a caring and loving daughter, wife, mother, and grandmother. Barbara loved people and lived life to the fullest with a certain joie de vivre or joy of life.
Barbara was born on April 15, 1933, in Claremont, CA, and was the first daughter and second son of William and Catherine Schrink. Barbara graduated from Claremont High School, where she met the love of her life, her future husband, William R. Wade. Barbara and Bill got married in 1952, and ten months later, they welcomed their first son, Gregory, followed by Michael in 1955 and Scott in 1959.
Bill and Barbara moved to Whittier to raise their three boys, while Bill was working for Alpha Beta Markets. In 1982, they moved to Salt Lake City, Utah, with the Alpha Beta Company. Barbara and Bill even learned to ski! In 1989, Bill retired from the Alpha Beta Company and enjoyed the arrival of their granddaughter, Megan, whom Barbara loved to visit and spoil.
Taking advantage of their retirement years, Bill and Barbara loved to travel across the United States and Canada in their RV. Barbara also loved to see movies and plays, to play golf, and to entertain.
A member of the Assistance League (AL) of Whittier and later the AL of Anaheim, Barbara found joy and a special passion working for Operation School Bell in Anaheim. She helped clothe and prepare many children for the school year. In 2012, she and her best friend Eileen Pauley received an honoree award from the AL of Anaheim.
Barbara was preceded in death by her husband, William R. Wade, parents William and Catherine Schrink, and brother William Schrink. She is survived by sons Gregory, Michael, Scott (and Vickie), and granddaughter Megan.
Funeral Services will be held on Saturday, August 16, at 11:00 AM at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church, 190 S Fairmont Blvd.
