I live in a small town in the mountains in Arizona. It's about 100 miles north of Phoenix. Even though I have lived here for some time, I still miss California.

We were in the last class that graduated from the old Claremont High School. Things were much simpler then. I remember the juke box we had in the cafeteria and the girls would play the Johnny Mathis songs and swoon, and all the boys would groan. Oh to be young again, but then, life is what you make it.

My sister Pat graduated in 1959. She was killed in 2015 in a terrible auto accident. I believe that there is no such thing as an accident, everything leads up to an incident by the choices you make before and at the time. The driver that killed my sister made all the wrong choices that day. I hope he has learned something from the choices he made. I know I did.
