Barbara Jo Dahl, 43, of Chandler, AZ, passed away in the presence of loved ones on August 5, 2006 from brain cancer. Barbara was born May 23, 1963 in Mason City, Iowa. She is now at home with her Lord.

She grew up in Mason City, Rochester, MN, Sioux Falls, SD, Buffalo Grove, IL and Claremont, CA where she was graduated from Claremont High School. After attending Citrus College, she moved to Phoenix, AZ. Barb was very active in Adult Softball in the Valley. She was employed as a sales representative for Great Garage, and for Pest Control Solutions. She was also a Security Supervisor at America West Arena and Bank One Ball Park. She was an avid sports fan.

She is survived by her parents, Carol (Jerry) Christenson and Gordon (Cheril) Dahl. Two brothers, Michael (Kim) Dahl, Rowlett, TX and Chris (Kirn) Dahl, Mesa, AZ. Her maternal grandmother, Evelyn Dahl, Lake Mills, Iowa. One step-brother, Jeff (Sharon) Christenson, and two step-sisters, Stephanie (Joey) Valadez and Julie Christenson. Two nephews, Spencer and Adrian Dahl and six nieces, Aubrey and Ashlyn Dahl, Alyssa Krzeszowski, Marisa and Madelyn Valadez, and Carsen Christenson. She was preceded in death by her maternal grandfather, Glenn Dahl, paternal grandparents Claire Dahl and Nola (Dahl) Grimstead. Barbara was blessed with many, many dear and loyal friends and will be missed deeply.

Memorial services will be held on Sunday, August 13, 2006, 1:00 p.m. at Holy Trinity Lutheran church, 739 W. Erie St., Chandler, AZ. Wyman Cremation and Burial Chapelis in charge of arrangements. It is requested that memorials be directed to Hospice of the Valley or Barrows Neurological Research.
