A Great maths teacher.  He taught me geometry, in the axiomatic/deductive fashion, ala Euclid himself.  Stayed with me - all the way to Spinoza.  Thanks, William.  Good stuff, man.  Culture!

Never would've thought it possible, but Mr. Booth made Geometry fun, a detective game in which the marshaling of various clues led to the solution of the mystery. If he didn't coin the phrase, "looking outside the nine dots," he certainly popularized it by putting it into practice. I recall his saying that every student of Geometry will experience an "Ah-HA!" moment, when the "light goes on" and the fun begins. I scoffed, until the room suddenly lit up. Many are called to educate; few are prodigies. Mr. Booth, you were one of those few. Thank you, and Semper Fi.

Good natured man. Never small nor intimidating, after 40 years of teaching I still try to be as he was. Wonderful teacher.
