Jean Snyder, 81, passed away on April 3, 2023, during the early morning hours, at the Schneidmiller Hospice House in Coeur d’Alene. Jean was born to Frederick and Marie Faubus and grew up in Southern California cities. She graduated from Claremont High School and later became a ladies clothing manager during her years working outside her home.

Jean married Dale Snyder in 1985, and she resided in West Covina, CA, until 2010.  During the 90’s, Jean and Dale took many road trips. These included a memorable family reunion held in Wenatchee, Washington, and trips to visit family and friends in Nevada, Pennsylvania, and Mississippi. Jean also enjoyed cruises to Alaska, The Caribbean, and The Mediterranean, during which she and Dale made many home videos and shared them with family and friends.

In the early 2000s, Jean and Dale grew in the church, gained friends, and hosted many gatherings in their home. Jean enjoyed sharing her home and providing hospitality to many. She also loved decorating her home and made many improvements to it.

In 2010, Jean chose Coeur d’Alene as a peaceful retirement home and had remained there since. While living in Coeur d’Alene she enjoyed playing dominoes, bunco, online games, and keeping up with her church online. She occasionally made trips to California at the beckoning of her loved ones.

Jean was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Dale; and her brothers, Roy and Ron. She is survived by her two sons, Michael and Scott of California; three grandsons; and a host of other family and friends. Her loving presence, healing smile, and gentle spirit will be deeply missed by all who knew her.

A memorial service will be held at 1:00 PM on Tuesday, April 18, 2023 at Yates Funeral Home – Coeur d’Alene Chapel, 744 N. 4th Street, Coeur d'Alene.
