On July 18, 1971, Barbara married the love of her life, William Burke. Together they raised a loving family, including their sons Stephen and Stuart, and embraced their blended family with daughters Shelli Griffin and Staci Burke. Barbara was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother, cherishing time spent traveling, laughing, and creating memories with family and friends.

She was a woman of deep faith and an active, beloved member of Mount Cross Lutheran Church. Barbara found joy in learning, reading, taking notes, and exploring art and culture. She traveled extensively throughout her life, always seeking new adventures with a warm heart and open mind.
