The following is from Steve's son, Steve:
Steve Burt passed away on December 23, 2011. His funeral will be on Saturday, January 14 at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont 12 noon.
Steve had several problems. Aside from the fact that he was very overweight he was also a diabetic. In December his son noticed he was blue about his chest and arms. They took him to emergency - a collapsed lung. Every time they did something medically positive for him something else would go wrong and by December 23 his body gave up.
