Roxie May Hollaway, 91 of Upland, CA died August 13, 2005 at Kindred Hospital, Ontario. She was born January 17, 1914 in Squires, MO. 
 
The family moved to California in 1915. She lived most of her life in the Inland Valley area. Mrs. Hollaway graduated from Claremont High School and from Pomona Jr. College. She worked at Wright Bro and Rice furniture store for several years and retired from Aerojet General (Azusa) in 1974. She moved to Northern California and lived there 26 years. Mrs. Hollaway was a member of Wheatland Baptist Church, Wheatland, CA. She returned to Southern California after the death of her husband in 2003. 
 
She is survived by her brother and sister-in-law, Leroy and Lucille Hall of Upland; three grandsons, Rodney, Burnie and Erick Swaleson of Tacoma, WA; four great-grandchildren and one great-great grandson; two step-sons, John D. Hollaway of Felton, CA and James Hollaway of Whiteford, MD. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Hollaway and daughter, Marylee Swaleson. 
 
A visitation will be held at Todd Memorial Chapel, Pomona Friday from 4 to 8 p.m. Services will be held and interment made at Pomona Valley Memorial Park, Saturday, August 20, 2005 at 11 a.m. The family suggest memorial contributions be sent to Wheatland Baptist Church, P O Box 204, Wheatland, CA 95692. Todd Memorial Chapel is in charge of arrangements.
