Jack Farley

From Elisa Farley

We thought it important to let Claremonters know that retired teacher Jack Farley died this July 5 from congestive heart failure. We love you Dad and our hearts are heavy. 44 plus years of teaching and volunteer coaching at the school, but also boxing coaching at the YMCA. Mr. Farley also put up a good fight through this. Mother, Colleen Farley loyal loving wife, best friend and Caregiver never faltered all the way through. I also helped in this genre of necessary care, Kathleen and Jason of course involved making sure of safety and clean sheets. We all appreciate everything he also did as a Father. 64 plus years married to his only love, where they met at Fresno State University, English/Drama majors with awards. It will never be the same for us, missing him and his wonderful stories and brilliance. You where a heck of a MAN Dad!
Love to him~ RIP Dad, aka Mr. Jack Farley xo Pops ? you!
The Farley family

Mr. Farley's obituary will be posted when available.

I really don't have that many memories or stories about Mr. Farley but I thought he was one heck of a teacher. He really helped me out a lot in his creative writing class. I'm going to miss him.

I had Mr. Farley for "Unexplained Phenomena" Literature class.  He was quite unique as a teacher and I will never forget him.

I was just thinking about Mr. Farley yesterday, and described him to my daughter. Mr. Farley was a complex guy with so many attributes. A lover of English, theatre, poetry... and a boxer and athlete, tho he always seemed to move in an easy, relaxed way. He was one of the adults in my (then) young life who would speak to me "one on one," getting through to me while acknowleding that at 16, I might already have some experience of my own. He could tell you amazing stories, but preferred to listen. That made him an adult to trust and respect.

Thanks, Mr. Farley

I enjoyed being in Mr. Farley's English class- he was very entertaining and time flew by while learning.  Thank you for being such a great teacher!!
