Janie Brown (Glidden) (1967)

My Sister, Betty, passed on Monday, March 28th near Phoenix, AZ at the age (just shy) of 76 years.  Her birthday was April 22nd.   We had a celebrration of life on Tuesday, April 12th at Oak Park Cemetery in Claremont.  As we celebrated, we also shared roses on markers & monuments of Classmates and their parents (that we personally have known) - in Oak Park.  It was a lovely, sunny, perfect day...and the view of Mt. Baldy was beautiful and clear!

Thanks to All who have sent their thoughts and condolences to us.

Bob Brown ('61) and Janie Brown Glidden ('67).

My sincerest condolences to you and your family. What a thoughtful thing to do, at Oak Park Cemetery for all our classmates and families.

May your sister, and all classmates rest peacefully 💕

Christiana "Janie" Graham (Kirk) (1964)

Dear Janie,

Please accept my condolences on the loss of your sister and my classmate Betty.  I don't know if we ever knew each other too well, but we certainly were acquainted over the years.  The loss of a sibling must be a heartbreak.  May God bless you and your family as you grieve for Betty.

I remember the cemetary well as our church was just immediately south of it's location.  You were sweet to remember others who began their lives in glory at that place.

Yours truly,

Janie Graham Kirk '64, Claremont High School

Hi Janie -- every once in a while I go into the "El Espiritu" and scan through for memolries.  For what ever reason, Betty is one I will always think about.  We were not close friends, and had a few classes together, but she some how resonated with me over the years.  Sorry for her passing.  I find I'm going back into the annual more often than before looking for good memories.  Your sister contributes to those good menories.
