A message from Consuelo's husband, Richard:

Dear Friends,

Consuelo passed away on Wednesday, September 2020 at 11:00 a.m. at home, surrounded by her loving family.

After learning in the hospital that she had untreatable Stage IV cancer that had spread throughout her body, she resolved to come home on hospice, where I cared for her, with the help of her sister.

Consuelo's last days were spent connecting with her family, with her friends, and with herself. And when she felt it was time to go, the end came quickly and peacefully.

I know she touched many of your lives profoundly, and that each of you will miss her in your own way.

For myself, I can only say that she was my True Love, my Soul Mate, and my Best Friend, and our son Karl's one and only Mommy.

I'm grateful for every minute of the 35 years of friendship, 28 years of partnership, and 23 years of marriage that we shared.

She's woven into the fabric of my body and my spirit.

There's a quote I've always loved:

"A happy marriage is a long conversation which seems too short."

Thank you to those of you who have reached out with messages and gestures of kindness during these past few weeks.

Consuelo loved hearing from you, and Karl and I appreciate your support.

As Consuelo so often said: "Love is Everything."
