Karen L. Sevilla, 74, of New Caney, Texas passed away July 13 2020. She was born on October 9 1945 in Los Angeles California, the oldest daughter of Thomas J. & Mary May (O’Connell) Aleto. She grew up in Southern California graduating from Claremont High School in 1963, from California Polytechnic University in 1973. In 1974, she received her California teaching credential and in 1999 received her Masters of Education from Sam Houston State University. She taught for 28 years in California & Texas public schools.
Her life was her husband and traveling as well as her children and grandchildren. She loved watching their sport games and academic achievements.

Karen is survived by her loving husband Robert; Three children Gina Sevilla, Paul Sevilla, his wife Patty, and Steven Sevilla; and four grandchildren, Anthony Sevilla, Tori Veith, Cody Veith, and Avery Sevilla. She is also survived by her sisters Chris Londo and Jodi Talbert and husband John Talbert, Cousin Dan Aleto and wife Pam, Brother-in-laws Edward Sevilla, Larry Sevilla and wife Carol, Michael Sevilla and wife Kara Sevilla, Sister-in-laws Pat Sevilla, and Olivia Sevilla along with numerus nieces, nephews and friends.

Karen left these words.

“I tried to do my best, failed sometimes succeeded but I tried. Thank you to all the people who helped me along the way. Those who loved me, assisted me, cared for me, laughed with me, and taught me things so that I could have a wonderful happy life. I was blessed beyond measure by knowing all of you. That is what made my life worthwhile.

If you think of me and would like to do something in honor of my memory, volunteer at a school, church, or library. Stop at all the lemonade stands and brag about their product”
