I now have 2 physical birthdays! The one from my mom and dad and another one on September 24, 2000. On that day I was on a business trip to a radio station i Saginaw, MI. I rented a car at the airport there. I ran through a stop sign exiting the airport and was t-boned by a passenger van. The car I was driving was totaled and I had no vital signs at all when I was removed from the car with the jaws of life by the angels God sent. Other angels kept my heart beating and did my breathing for me as they life flighted me to St. Mary's hospital. I had a ruptured spleen, six broken left ribs, fractured left clavicle, a blowout fracture of my left optical orbit and bruising to the right frontal lobe of my brain. It still astounds me that God chose to breathe the breath of life into me. I was addicted to attempting to satisfy the lusts of my flesh and yet He chose me. I had a splenectomy, monitoring of my traumatic brain injury, and a repair of the blowout fracture. My wife, our oldest son, my sister, my dad and his wife (not my mom... Jesus called her home in 1972) came to be at my bedside. Prayers were offered up for my and my family by relatives, and friends from all over the world. God is good all the time.
