Maria Tessa Hurtado, at the golden age of 50, went to be with her Heavenly Father March 19, 2017.

She was born to Frank Bickel and Vivian Chambers July 7, 1966. She was the youngest of eight siblings.

She graduated from Claremont High School, and continued her love of knowledge at various schools: Citrus Community College, Cal Poly University, Platt College, acquiring her graphic art Degree from Platt, and her AA University Studies with Emphasis in Mathematics and Science at Chaffey College. She received various certificates in Real Estate, one of her greatest passions, and founded Mahogany Bridge Investments LLC 2014. 

Maria was a member of NAUI in her youth, and volunteered with LAMI, and co-founded with her daughter, Lishanna, The Wealth Project. 

She loved the ocean and all facets of nature, sailing, exploring, horseback riding, historical re-enactments, and some of her favorite pass times included reading, writing, art, and the study of history and science.

A memorial service, honoring Maria, will be held 10:00 am, Saturday, April 1, 2017 at Timberline Church in the East Auditorium, Fort Collins, CO.
