I remember abandoning the classroom at El Roble when it began to snow and dancing in it with Cheryl. She was beautiful, smart and kind as well. I am blessed to have known her.
Cheryl and I were tennis and piano partners. Her smile and beauty were infectious. It was not unusual to find a note from some college student on her car window asking for her number after we played tennis at CMC. She had perfect pitch, was an excellent pianist and fun to be with. She was a dear friend.
I have very fond memories of Cheri Crane. I met her when I was in second grade and she later lived two houses away. We were soon fast friends spending hours at one another's houses. In 8th grade, I remember watching her pin a pattern onto fabric while she explained the subsequent steps she would take to finish her outfit. This inspired me to learn to sew. In our senior year of high school we teamed up together for an oral report in a history class. We immediately got the jitters and the giggles. She managed to pull herself together and give her report, while I did not. She was a very special and loyal friend and she is greatly missed.
