Eubert Leroy Hall

Eubert "Leroy" Hall passed away at San Antonio Hospital July 2nd after a four month battle with cancer. Leroy was born on the Towne Ranch in Claremont on May 21, 1918. 

He attended Claremont High School where he was a varsity letterman in football, ba sketball, baseball and track. After graduating from Claremont he attended Chaffey Junior College where he majored in Aeronautics. In 1938 he went to work for McDonald-Douglas in Santa Monica. In 1941 he met Lucille Mosley on a blind date. It was love at first sight and they were married December 14, 1941, one week after the attack on Pearl Harbor. They had three sons Everett, Roger and John. In 1948 Leroy left Douglas and went to work at North American Aviation. Over time North American Aviation became Ro ckwell International. He retired from Rockwell in 1983 after 35 years of service. Leroy was a charter member of the 11th Street Baptist Church. He was also a member of the Ontario Elks Lodge Number 1419. 
 
Leroy is survived by his wife and a loving family: his son, Roger Hall and his wife Marge of Lincoln California. There are six grandchildren: Carolyn DeWitt, Emily Barney, James Hall, Mary Hall, Evelyn Hall and Jaclyn Hall. There are eight great-grandchildren: Bryce DeWitt, Blake DeWitt, Carlee DeWitt, Wesley Hall, Kailey Hall, Levi Barney, Zachary Barney and Austin Barney. He is also survived by his nieces Lynda Maloski, Sharon Mosley and Julia Ann Clark and nephews Lester Mosley and Gene Mosley. He was preceded in death by his sons Everett Hall and John Hall and a grandson, Jason Hall. 
 
Leroy loved the out-of-doors; he enjoyed bird hunting in Idaho with his brother-in-law, Ken Mosley. Many family vacations were spent fishing with his sons in Montana and his grandchildren on the Walker River in the Sierras. After retirement he and his wife Lucille bought a motor home and traveled much of the western United States visting family and friends. He especially enjoyed their many trips to their condo in Hawaii. He and Lucille loved going on cruises especially with their family and friends. 
 
Services will be held at Todd's Memorial Chapel in Pomona at 1:00 p.m. this Saturday, July 12th, followed by Interment at Pomona Cemetery. Afterwards, a luncheon will be held at the 11th Street Baptist Church in Upland. Friends who would like to pay respects may do so on Friday evening from 4:00-8:00 at Todd's Memorial Chapel, Pomona.
