Diane Lynn (Bach) McBratney died November 2, 2007, at Scripps Mercy Hospital in San Diego, from **pulmonary fibrosis.  She was born in Milwaukee, WI, to Alfred J. and Mae H. Bach; she is survived by her husband John "Mickey" McBratney, her mother Mae and three brothers Joey, Gary and Greg Bach.  A passionate world traveler, she enjoyed a career as a flight attendant for  Continental Airlines and flew the "Flag Routes" of the South Pacific.  After retiring from Continental she had an extensive career as a realitor, specializing in luxury properties in both Los Angeles and San Diego counties.

This is a partial reprint of her obituary printed in the Valley Dailey Bulletin.  Diane was my wife's (Lynda Shaffer CHS '64)  best friend, growing up in Claremont.  She lived just three doors down from me and four down from my wife.  Her Dad, Al, gave me my first job in his auto body business in Pomona.  A very sweet, kind, gentle person and avid dog lover.

**Diane as she was first diagnosed with breast cancer in 1997 and passed away in 2007 from complications.
