A memorial service was held on Saturday, May 8 at Pacific Coast Church in Pacific Grove, CA for Brittain Jensen, age 60. Brittain was born in Denver, CO and raised in Southern California where he completed his Masters in Fine Arts at Claremont College. Brittain was an accomplished artist, an inspiring teacher, and a talented dancer. He was also a successful real estate broker who utilized his artistic talents renovating properties in the Monterey Bay area. He was a resident of Pacific Grove, Seaside, and in more recent years Aptos.

Brittain greatly enjoyed dance and was once well known in the community for his East Coast Swing and Salsa dancing. He was a long time member of the Santa Cruz Swing Club and loved dancing west coast swing throughout California and the west. In recent years he was devoted to the Argentine Tango communities of Santa Cruz and Monterey and practiced his craft as far away as Buenos Aires. 

Brittain enjoyed travel throughout his lifetime. He was also known to many as a seeker after spiritual truths.

Brittain is survived by his sister Day Johnston, brother-in-law Jim Johnston, nephew Devin Johnston, father Rudolf Jensen, and his loving partner in dance and in life, Jacquie Kempton.

He will be greatly missed by his wide circle of friends and loved ones. He will be in our hearts forever.
