Winifred Win Coats (Hendricks & Hafer)

Winifred "Win" Hafer went to be with her Lord and Savior September 7, 2014 in Meridian, Idaho. She was surrounded and supported by her loving family during her last weeks in Priest Lake, Idaho and Meridian, Idaho. She was 85 years old.

Win was born on June 17, 1929 in the Panama Canal Zone to Winfred and Alice Coats. Win's father was an officer in the United States Navy. She spent her younger years traveling the world with her family and experiencing new places and cultures. This bred a love of travel and adventure that she enjoyed throughout her life.
 
Win attended Claremont High School where she met Carlton "Wagy" Hendricks (CHS 1947). They were married in 1949 and had three daughters, Hope Hendricks (CHS 1968), Faith Jensen (CHS 1970) and Annie MacAulay (CHS 1974) . She spent many happy years in Claremont, California raising her daughters and helping to run Hendricks Pharmacy. After Wagy and Win divorced, she married Russell Hafer in 1978. Russ and Win enjoyed many happy years of retirement together at their homes in Sun City West, Arizona and Priest Lake, Idaho.
 
In 2011, Win moved to Meridian, Idaho to be closer to family. She resided at TouchMark where she made many new friends. She continued to spend her summers at Priest Lake, where she nurtured lifelong friendships and created wonderful family memories over the many years she spent there.
 
Win is predeceased by her parents, her husband Russell, and her brother Donald Coats. She is survived by her daughters,Hope Hendricks of Huntington Beach, California, Faith Jensen of Meridian, Idaho and Annie MacAulay of Avalon, California; by her stepchildren, Russell Hafer of Corona Del Mar, California, Gary Hafer of Park City, Utah, Deborah Russell of San Clemente, California, and Hilary Van Daele of Kodiak, Alaska; by 15 grandchildren; and by 5 great grandchildren.
 
Celebration of Life will be held on Saturday, 13th September 2014 2:00pm at the home of Rick and Faith Jensen: 3720 W. Pine, Meridian, ID 83642.

 Oh how I wish  I could be there Faith, at the Memorial  in Idaho. Brent Malan, and I adored Winn, and all of you, and have so many great memories at the Malan- Hendricks- Hart ,Cabin at June Lake. Also all the great memories at your home on Towne Ave.

She was a remarkable woman, and she passed all of that greatness on to all three of you, and now to all of your children. Thank you for this beautiful tribute to her, and for posting this !!!

My thoughts and prayers are with you all, and I only wish I could be there !!!  God Bless !
