Roy D. Miller (77), died Sunday, January 28, 2007, from pneumonia. He is survived by his loving wife, Janice nee Arthur and son Michael.

He was predeceased by his first wife, Marguerite nee Bruner and son, Jeffrey, and brother, Marvin D. Miller, M.D. He is also survived by step-children, nieces and nephews.
 
Born in Pomona, Calif., in 1929 and grew up in Claremont, CA. He was a graduate of Pomona College and Stanford Law School. He was a partner of the law firm of Gibson, Dunn and Crutcher, specializing in trusts and estates, retiring in 1994 after a 40 year career with them. Roy was an active member of First United Methodist Church of Pasadena, serving as President of the Pasadena Methodist Foundation. He served on the Board of Trustees of the Claremont School of Theology, and for 17 years was Chairman of the Board. He also served on many other charitable boards, including the Sierra Club Foundation, the B.C. McCabe Foundation, Volunteers of America, and the Sam and Alfreda Maloof Foundation for Arts and Crafts.
 
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, February 3 at 10 a.m. at the First United Methodist Church of Pasadena, 500 E. Colorado Blvd., Pasadena. In lieu of flowers, to honor Roy's life, donations may be made to: The Claremont School of Theology or The Sierra Club Foundation, or the charity of your choice. Todd Memorial Chapel , Pomona, is in charge of arrangements.
