Born October 9, 1931, in Riverside, California, William Ralph Wade passed away Wednesday, November 7, 2007, after a brief illness. 

Bill lived most of his life in Southern California and was a 1949 graduate of Claremont High School. A self-made man, Bill began his 40-year career in the grocery business as a meat clean-up boy at Alpha Beta in Pomona, eventually becoming Senior Vice President of Advertising/Media Relations for the entire Alpha Beta chain. Bill was a wonderful husband to Barbara and devoted father to his three sons. Bill had many passions, including a lifelong love of learning and reading, playing the guitar and banjo. Bill joined the Richard Nixon Presidential Library as a docent in 1999, where he enjoyed leading school and VIP tours. 
 
In addition to Barbara, Bill is survived by son Greg and daughter-in-law Angela of Lake Elsinore; son Mike of Portland, Oregon; and son Scott, daughter-in-law Vickie, and granddaughter Megan of San Jose. Bill is also survived by his brother Mike and sister-in-law Pat and nieces Wendy Thompson and spouse Kim of Newport Beach and Sandy Gutierrez and husband Steve of Fontana. 
 
Memorial services will take place Friday, November 16, at 11 a.m. at Canyon Hills Presbyterian Church, in Anaheim Hills. In lieu of flowers, the family requests donations to the Assistance League of Anaheim or the Richard Nixon Presidential Library Yorba Linda.
