Temple Faust Penrod

Feb 22, 1895 - Nov 3, 1988

From Temple's grandson David Jensen:

Temple died at age 93 about 10 years ago.   He was born in Winslow, Arizona, and became a telegraph operator for the Sante Fe Railroad where his father designed bridges for the railroad.  He  married Hazel Eastman, a schoolteacher, and they housed World War II wives at their home in Phoenix during the war while their husbands in the service were overseas. He sold furniture and life insurance in Phoenix for many years.

"Paw" and Hazel had just one child, my mother, Enid Lucille Penrod ("Penny"), who married Lt. Martin E. Jensen, an Air Force pilot at Luke Air Force Base in Arizona. Temple's son-in-law Marv flew combat in Korea and also 109 missions in Vietnam. He is 83 and lives in Tempe.
