Mark Frederick Helgeson, 45, of Pomona died Jan. 25, 2004, in Pomona. He was born March 23, 1958, in Chicago, Ill., and was a resident of Pomona for three years.
He was a self-employed repairman for 20 years. He graduated from Claremont High School. He enjoyed fishing, off-road dirt bike riding and computers.
He is survived by his son, Mark Joseph Helgeson; stepson, Eric; his parents, Don Helgeson and Frances Aiello Helgeson; brother, Keith Helgeson; and aunts, Jan Esper of Illinois and Carol Johnson of Wisconsin.
Mark was a well known and well liked man who left a lasting impression on everyone he met. He was never too busy to help his neighbors in the mobile home park he lived in.
Memorial services will be held at 3 p.m. Sunday, Feb. 8 at Claremont United Methodist Church, 211 W. Foothill Blvd., Claremont. Inland Memorial of Upland is handling arrangements.
