I went to Laurie's memorial service. She had  suffered a lot not only from health issues, but the death of her young son from heart problems. We had a long chat at our 20th reunion picnic.

Thanks for sharing this Megan.  I'm sorry to say that I had no idea regarding her passing....but it's wonderful to have her memorialized this way.  She was such a sweet Spirit!  Best to all her Family & close friends.  Apologies for such a late response ;-))

I just joined this site and felt I needed to comment on Laurie's memorial page. Laurie was my younger sister. We were one year apart. I miss her always, and yes, she was a sweet soul who only wanted to help others. Being a nurse was her life-long ambition. We were all very proud of her and her accomplishments. She had several health issues, after suffering from rheumatic fever as a child she was left with a damaged heart valve. She had it replaced at the age of 50, but then had complications from asthma. She was intubated for a long month and eventually died from a blood clot to the brain. We can be comforted knowing she is no longer in pain and is with her beloved Timmy in heaven. 🌷❤️

Pamela, whenever I hear about Laurie, I think of her son Brian and wonder how he is.  I know he has been through a lot and I hope his life is better now.
