Norris, William Edwin "Bill" – 80, formerly of Claremont, Newport Beach, and Riverside, California passed in his sleep at his home in Sun Valley, Idaho the night of June 2, 2018.  He was born Sept. 29, 1937, in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania, the son of Thomas Edwin Norris and Kathryn Bernice McMahan. 

Upon graduation from Stanford University he was commissioned an Ensign in the United States Navy and after service in WESTPAC and USNR, he was Honorably Discharged as LtJg. He later worked throughout the Inland Empire with McMahan's Furniture and was active in politics. In 1970, Bill and his family settled in Sun Valley, Idaho, deepening a relationship with the area, begun decades before with his parents. Working with the Sun Valley Company, he entered the real estate business, later founding a partnership which became Sotheby's International Realty for the Wood River Valley. More recently, he enjoyed investing in real estate projects throughout Southern Idaho. He was past president of the Sawtooth Board of Realtors, committed to a variety of primarily local non-profits, and was active on the board of Higher Ground/Sun Valley Adaptive Sports. His love of an active lifestyle and the outdoors only increased during his traveling and decades living in Idaho.

Bill is survived by his wife, Adrian B. Norris, of Sun Valley; his children, William Tyler Norris, Julie Anna Wiethorn and Trevor Edwin Norris (and wife Claudia Lopez Duarte), and their mother Nancy Johnson Norris; his step-children, Stephen Fellner, Christianne Veconi and Adam Buchanan; and his grandchildren, Elke Wiethorn, Eliza Verena Norris and Emmet Daler Norris; and great-grandson Gabriel Giftai. He is also survived by many extended family members and many, many friends near and far. He was preceded in death by his parents and two brothers, Craig Ridgley Norris and Alan Sheldon Norris.
