Performed in many operettas and other musicals at CHS and choir in local church. Graduated from Pomona College 1932 with BA degree in education (music). Member of the Pomona College Men's Glee Club. He was a baritone.

Couldn't find teaching job in 1932 and joined S.H.Kress Co. where he later managed many stores in So. Cal and Northern Cal. until his death in 1972 in Sacramento. Served in the military 1942-1945. He was a loving father to his children and a recognized leader in the local business community.
