Robert William "Bobby" Skapik - Class Of 1990

August 27 1971 - October 24 1994

Bobby was born in Claremont, California. He was an upbeat person, always smiling, joking, talking and being just a down-right pleasure to be around. A talented athlete, he loved and played baseball all his life. In 1990, he helped provide the experience and playing skills that made the difference in putting Claremont High School Baseball in the C.I.F. playoffs for the first time since 1979. With his love for the game and general enthusiasm he showed the entire team that having fun with life was definitely the way to go. He died 10 months after being diagnosed with cancer. He is survived by his parents, sister Jeanette, and brothers Mark and James.

"Bobby
Little brother
baby in mother's arms.
A free spirit from the beginning
with so many charms.
Soul, Style and Gusto
a flare of your own.
Hit the deep triple
but keep running for home."

~ written by Bobby's sister Jeanette
