Liza Marie Nesbitt (Sauls) (1974)

In Jr High at El Roble, just before they opened La Puerta, we were offered the chance to take Russian instead of Spanish...and I signed up for it!  I still remember the phrases he talk us (A bird in the hand is worth two in the bush), how to spell my name, and what every item of furniture and relative is in Russian!  We even had the chance to take a field trip and see War & Peace in Russian.  Wonderful teacher, gave us a personal glimpse of what life was in that mysterious country, still at that time considered a threat to our own country.  He changed a lot of minds that year.
